User Experience
- Did you have Audio enabled? Voice Audio Only
- Did you have brackets turned on? No
- Average FPS during the test(s) Started out at 40ish and dropped to .1 - 5 after I joined a Fleet
- Did you notice any desyncs during the test? Repeatedly during gate jumps and mass death at Planet I
- On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? 1 = way worse
- I enjoyed Fleet W, because they were using Voice Audio in Fleet channel, until a mouse problem on my end resulted in clicking the X and closing the client while attempting to SPAM the jump icon. After I cleaned my cache and logged back on I got picked up by Fleet X which was not using Audio in Fleet. Also, I understand the test is not meant for my personal enjoyment but I would have liked to have expanded more than one and EXACTLY one projectile round from each AC after I finally got through the blockaded gate and locked my target. However, as instructed by the Fleet Commander I unlocked my target, grabbed drones, and warped to Planet I... unlocking and bringing in drones took about 5 minutes btw.
My personal enjoyment aside here are some issues I noticed during the test
1. Anytime the massed Fleets performed a joint maneuver I had extreme lag and or actual desyncs. During the second Fleet maneuver gate jump I experienced a complete desync which the client never recovered from and had to restart my client to get back into the test.
2. The entire time I was in a Fleet my text entry in chat was subject to what I consider as "buggy" behaviour:
A: Repeatedly the cursor would not stay in the chat text area B: keyboard entry response during Fleet maneuvers was reduced dramatically sometimes as much as 2 - 5 minutes for a single sentence to reveal itself long after I finished typing - When CCP Veritus set off the bomb I typed a longish sentence (probably too long for it all to fit in the allowed text) and it was never fully revealed in the chat text area where I typed and I waited about 30 minutes (before I gave up on my ship blowing up) and ended up logging out. (However, on a brighter note I did get my notification of an insurance commission eve mail within 2 minutes of the bomb going off). C: After the first Fleet gate jump and before the second gate jump. I experienced a dramatic chat text entry bug that resulted in double letters being typed (yeah two letters showed up for every one I typed in chat) and the Enter key would not push the text into the chat. After a client log off that problem was corrected.
3. During Fleet maneuvers the overlay was extremely slow to respond and several times I enjoyed the double display of objects found in space that were listed on the overlay - two of everybody.
4. I also noticed during Fleet maneuver jumps (and the bomb) that the player Log was lagged and did not show the notifications that were periodically popping up on my screen.
5. Lag or desync during Fleet maneuver was symptom-ed by a lack of client response - nothing was highlighted as available for me to click the mouse on. And I had to be careful and slow down my mouse clicks waiting for each action to complete before going on to the next action or the client would sometimes choose to perform the second or third or fourth mouse click actions and ignore the prior ones.
